Description of the Project

HDI, specialised in the installation of horizontally drilled crossings under natural or man-made obstacles using « trenchless » technologies, carried out the construction of 2 crossings under the runways at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport.

Work done and added value of our solution

The work, which is being carried out for Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE), entails installing electrical connections underneath existing infrastructure at a depth of 35 metres. The two 1,480-metre crossings are being built with the horizontal drilling technique which makes it possible to traverse the airport complex underground without ever interrupting normal operations.
